The Royal Agricultural Society of WA (RASWA) is enjoying an exciting period of change and innovation. We are a non-profit member-based organisation with a 180-year history in WA. Claremont Showground is operated by RASWA and is home to the annual Perth Royal Show, music festivals, numerous public expos, trade shows and corporate and private events.
Role
We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator with the responsibility for scheduling works and maintenance on the ground, overseeing staff, and ensuring effective logistics of events at the Claremont Showground including the Perth Royal Show, WA's most iconic event.
Duties:
- Schedule work to meet targets and ensure current work practices are implemented within budget
- Produce and distribute briefings and information
- Supervise ground staff workflow and job allocation
- Manage contracts and relationships with internal and external customers as needed
- Prepare scope of works for works on the site
- Coordinate and assist with event set up including ensuring facilities are ready for tenants/exhibitors
- Organise and supervise project staff and contractors
- Sourcing and ordering equipment
Essential Skills and Experience
- Outstanding collaborative communication skills and experience in supervising a team
- Contractor management experience
- Able to meet deadlines within budget
- High level organisation and planning skills
- Effective communication and resolution skills to build relationships with the team and external customers
- High level of computer literacy including Excel and Microsoft 365
- Planning/scheduling software experience
- Current manual WA driver’s licence
While not essential, multi-faceted venue experience (including events or similar) would be a standout.
