Job Description
The opportunity:
An exciting and challenging opportunity currently exists for a Facilities Coordinator with a solid trade and maintenance background to assist our Maintenance Facility team.
The purpose of the Facilities Coordinator is to work alongside the Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of all Ventura depot infrastructure. The role will ensure legal requirements and health & safety standards are meet.
The role will assist in the management of project works; supervising onsite works, conducting site visits, working with consultants and contractors in developing project scopes, determine costs and oversee minor project works.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all Facilities Management (hard and soft services).
- Coordination of work order systems and contractors.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate and manage all trades, contractors and service technicians for maintenance and raised work requests.
- Manage contractor relationships and performance, ensure compliance with service contract requirements for all managed contracts.
- Ensure risk assessments and/or job hazard analysis have been completed for contract work tasks.
- Source parts and raise purchase orders & special purchases as requested
- Prepare quotes and tenders including all associated documentation as required.
- Diploma of Facilities Management (or working towards).
- Tertiary / Trade Qualifications in construction or property management or related discipline (desirable).
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Understanding of contractor management and supervision of building works.
- Project Management / contractor coordination skills.
- Proficient in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
- Knowledge of codes of practice and industry best practice relating to facilities management.
- Understanding of continuous improvement and risk management.
