The Opportunity
We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join our growing project Banksia team for the construction and commissioning of our state-of-the-art Influenza cell-culture (FCC) manufacturing facility in Tullamarine. Expected to be completed in 2026, this facility will be the only cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere and will also produce unique products important to Australia's public health needs such as snake and spider antivenoms.
The Role
Based at Tullamarine, this Full-Time Permanent Position will conduct and document equipment criticality assessments for facility equipment together with project engineers and operations teams. You will play an important role, being the conduit between the project and operations engineering teams.
Reporting to the Operational Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Manage all aspects of Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contract (commercial and technical).
- Coordinate all activities on site about the IFM Contract, including site cleaning activities.
- Facilitate creation and implementation of Service contracts with external vendors.
- Create and maintain safety registers in compliance with relevant standards. (PV, Lifting Gear etc.).
- Coordinate registration of relevant plant items with appropriate authorities
- Support project team design and installation coordination of Facility requirements.
- Create Preventative Maintenance tasks for facility safety systems, e.g. Fire, EWIS, Safety Showers etc.
- Facilitate acceptance and handover of facility related items from construction and project teams to Operational Readiness and Engineering BAU teams.
Your skills and experience
- Either a Trade / Maintenance experience or Engineering or Facility Management Qualification, or a related field
- 3-5 years' experience working in a project or production or maintenance area in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of cGMP and manufacturing operations in FDA/TGA regulated facility
- Experience in SAP and the ability to collect information to create preventative tasks
- Strong communication and team building skills with a stakeholder focus and a collaborative mindset.
- Highly motivated and Results Driven, Robust and resilient, proven technical competency
- Regulatory and Australia Standards awareness, able to contribute to Regulatory inspection and audits.
