The Role
We have a great opportunity for a hands-on Facilities Manager to join the team and ensure that the Medline owned facility at Marsden Park remains fully operational through the effective management of all site facilities including maintenance, cleaning, security, contractor management, and waste management covering office, manufacturing and warehouse locations, including company equipment.
- Manage all building operations at sites owned by Medline, by preparing and coordinating site works, which includes but not limited to, all scheduled and reactive site maintenance and repairs for warehouse, office, production areas and external grounds.
- Coordinate periodical statutory inspections & testing of fire safety equipment for certification and submission of Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) to local council, including associated emergency evacuation diagrams, emergency plan manuals, fire warden training & emergency evacuation drills.
- Assist interstate Warehouse Managers with procurement and management of site services e.g. cleaning, security, WHS
- Responsible for the management of site contractors, including the preparation, distribution & submission of QA calibration/maintenance forms, relevant to electrical services, sealers, air conditioning, equipment instruments, rapid roller doors, pest control and contractual services for specialist cleaners of clean rooms.
- Monitor contractor compliance, ensuring currency of WHS documentation e.g. insurances, licenses & safe work methods & inductions, are saved to file for audits.
- Coordinate site works, which include but not limited to; painting, repairing office equipment and furniture, ensuring office workstations are fully operational, moving and re-arranging staff work stations, cleaning and general handyman duties as required.
- 24/7 contact for security and fire monitoring services at Medline Australia Marsden Park
- Prepare Capital Expenditure Requests in accordance with Medline’s Purchasing policies and procedures for any facilities’ capital items.
- Coordinate project works relating to minor site refurbishments and upgrades; key liaison for major site works projects.
- Attend to site WHS hazards & risks as a matter of urgency, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all necessary controls are implemented with any associated work completed in accordance with the NSW WHS standards.
- Oversee stock control & ordering of site supplies including cleaning products, employee amenities, vending machines, water filters and materials for repairs & maintenance
- Assist in the preparation and set up of company events e.g. Town Hall, site promo, fundraising and family days.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a well-rounded facilities and maintenance role, including both office and warehouse/manufacturing sites
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of commercial & industrial building compliance and statutory requirements e.g. annual fire safety statement, RPZD certification, storm water filtration
- Demonstrated experience in the procurement & coordination of site works for a large scale office warehouse facility
- Intermediate MS Office Suite particularly Outlook, Excel and demonstrated ability using financial payment programs.
- Current NSW Drivers license is essential and a Forklift, EWP or working at heights certification will be highly regarded
- Ability to be proactive and hands on when required to help solve problems that are both compliant and safe.
