We are seeking a Facilities Manager to lead our Facilities Team at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre.
About the Role
In your role as Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the Facilities Team deliver service in line with contractual requirements in a professional, timely and safe manner.
General Duties include but are not limited to:
- ensure all maintenance requests are undertaken in line with contractual requirements and meet business needs
- oversee the end-to-end facility management cycle of all assets and equipment as per our contractual requirement
- ensure all work, tasks and projects meet agreed levels for the contract and are value for money in line with manufacturers specification and Australian standards
- approve, initiate, interpret, revise and enforce policies and directives to ensure the efficient management of facility maintenance department and RPC3 area
- ensure your department responds appropriately to emergency situations and has stock on hand to meet any maintenance or emergency repair needed
- ensure all required plans and reports are accurate and submitted in line with contractual timeframes
- establish and maintain preventative, corrective, routine and breakdown maintenance schedules using MEX (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
- achieve financial targets and manage the department budget in a responsible manner and as required by the Contract Manager
To be successful in this role you will have:
- proven large scale facilities management experience either within detention, corrections, or remote mine site
- formal trade qualifications
- proven experience using MEX or another similar Maintenance Software Suite
- ability to lead and develop a diverse team through regular training and coaching
- ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders who have responsibility over our performance
- strong verbal and written communication skills including experience writing reports and plans
- be willing and able to undertake induction training, working and living in a hot tropical environment on Nauru
- proven right to work in Australia
- willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check
- current Working with Children Card
- current First Aid Certificate
- evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 (double vaccinated) plus one booster with a vaccine recognised in Australia.
