The primary function of this role is to assist with the delivery of facility services to the different sites located in Victoria and contribute to the continual improvement of the facility management procedures.
Your new role
In your new role as Facilities Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with building management work, including coordination of maintenance works, liaison with external contractors and/or trades
- Logging of maintenance issues for the building and coordinating service providers
- Coordinate contractors
- Manage service contracts for pest control, test and tag etc.
- Responding to a high volume of e-mail and phone call enquiries regarding properties
- Oversee the administration of leases.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in the public sector
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Experience with facility management and/or building services or maintenance coordination
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at varying levels of the business
- Have a valid national police check or be willing to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail
