Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school with approximately 775 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) was established in 1984 and is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.
We are seeking to recruit a new team member to our community of passionate staff. Our highly valued Facilities team strive every day to keep our community safe and meet our full potential. They take pride in being responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the College facilities across both sites.
- This is a contract position for Grounds and Maintenance across both our Junior and Senior Campuses.
POTENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- upkeep of Grounds and gardens across the College to the highest standards of safety and presentation
- assist with building maintenance, both reactive and proactive
- assist with events (set-up and pack-down) as required
- duties will include manual handling tasks (lifting, pushing, pulling) as well as repetitive movement
- conduct inspections and risk assessments for Grounds and cleaning facilities and equipment
- use the facilities request systems, ensuring work is completed and recorded in the appropriate timeframes
- actively promote a culture of safe work and demonstrate a strong work ethic grounded in a service-oriented culture
- other duties as nominated by the Facilities Manager
A Queensland Working with Children Positive Notice Blue Card is required.
A current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting) and current CPR certificate are preferred prior to commencing in this role.
