Your key duties and responsibilities
As the Facilities Services Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in upholding the commitment to excellence in facilities management
- Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will oversee various aspects of maintenance, cleaning and ground services ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities.
- Liaison and Co-ordination: Collaborate with external contractors and manage maintenance activities to ensure the optimal functioning of the facilities
- Safety and Security; Implement and monitor security access policies, conduct inspections, and prioritise safety protocols for all stakeholders
- Maintenance and Procurement: Oversee the upkeep of the building and grounds as well as the procurement of furniture and fittings
- Project Management: Support capital works projects, coordinate minor works and manage contractors
- Community Engagement: Facilitate facility hire activities, development agreements with hirers and maintain strong relationships with the community
- Team Support: Provide leadership and support to maintenance, grounds and cleaning staff fostering a culture of integrity and excellence
- Budgetary Management: Providing support for the operations within the school, including maintaining stock control, cost analysis and liaison with suppliers
- Leadership: You have led from the front; experience in mentoring, delegating and performance management of teams
- Project Management – you have taken ownership of all projects from conception to completion, working within timeframes, budgets and contract management.
- Budget Management; practiced at securing quotes and negotiating skills
- A current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships
