About the Role

We are looking for a Facilities Lead to join our Facilities Management Team. Our facilities management team plays a vital role in ensuring that the company’s leaseholds and facilities operate efficiently and provide a safe and productive environment for all stakeholders involved.  

Reporting to the Head of Facilities, the Facilities Lead will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Facilities in overseeing various aspects related to facilities management. The role will be the primary escalation point for both internal and external vendors who require direction regarding MTC Australia’s facilities. Other duties of the role will include:

  • Oversee building maintenance issue response.
  • Oversee the management of the department’s Building Inspections calendar.
  • Manage both in-house resources and external contractors to deliver timely and effective maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain professional and ethical landlord, vendor and supplier networks.
  • Collaborate with Head of Facilities to source, tender, review, negotiate, engage, contract, on-board and supervise all facilities management vendors, both hard and soft services in the delivery of planned, unplanned maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Initiate, oversee and maintain clear operational policies, procedures, records, systems and administrative documents.
  •  Actively participate in initiatives to maintain, build upon and promote position and collaborative workplace.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the overall Facilities Management function of MTC.

About You:

The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a professional services firm, commercial building management firm or educational campus.
  • Experience in managing leased properties and related service contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects, meeting budget & deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing business landscape.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
