We are currently seeking an applicant for a Specialist Health, Safety & Environment to assist in our HSE commitments across our QLD and NSW operations.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for delivering world-class services to our clients. The key responsibility of the Health & Safety Specialist is to support our operations to ensure robust Health and Safety processes are implemented and followed and an effective culture to ensure work is executed in a safe manner in compliance with requirements. Duties include:
- Administrate and support system ensuring compliance with all management system standard, codes, and legal requirements
- Liaise with managers, advisors and site-based personnel on all HSE issues
- Data management and maintenance within our system
- Assist in incident investigations
- Calendar management
- Regular travel across our NSW and Qld operations
- Document control and record keeping
- Assisting in Health & safety reporting and communications
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and facilitation skills
- Microsoft Office skills and IT Savvy nature
- Proven ability in providing support to HSE teams, ideally gained within a mining environment
- Proven proficiency in statistical analysis and report collation.
- Experience in maintaining effective, accurate and compliant record systems that comply with the company and client policies, procedures and standards
- Strong customer service ethic with the ability to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
- Highly organised, flexible and adaptable
- Experience in SharePoint is advantageous
