Overview
In this role you will oversee facilities and maintenance programs across designated sites to ensure adherence to legislative requirements, Australian Standards, and other regulations governing both internal and external preventative maintenance initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards for corporate service provision, overseeing administration, catering, cleaning, orderlies, and laundry services within the healthcare service
- Effective communication with other Local Health Network (LHN) units, directorates, and external stakeholders on pertinent issues
- Providing expert advice and support to regional managers and Directors of Nursing, as well as managing various minor and major projects through proficient project management skills.

Essential criteria
Applicants will be expected to have experience in:
- Evaluation/selection of plant and equipment
- All aspects of facilities management
- Development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Management of human, physical, and financial resources
- Use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
Applicants will be expected to have Knowledge of:
- Australian Standards, Food Safety Standards, Building Code of Australia, and relevant health care legislation
- Equal Employment Opportunity Act and Work Health Safety Act
- Infection Control and Customer Service principles
- Safety and Risk Management Standards.
