About the Position:As the Factory Manager, you will be a key player in manufacturing operations. We are looking for a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of best practice manufacturing processes, particularly in the plastics industry. This role demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic setting, and a readiness to lead and adapt to change.What's in it for me? • Remuneration would be in the order of $120k p.a. Bonuses Company car.• Perm role in a large team in a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environmentResponsibilities will include : • Production Oversight: Manage and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and output. Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards.• Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team of production/operations staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Confidence and no-nonsense professionalism required to lead a large team of around 40 .• Resource Management: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate raw material supply for uninterrupted production. Manage machinery and equipment maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the manufacturing facility. Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all staff.• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, staff training, and operational cost reduction. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance overall operational efficiency. What we're looking for :• Proven high-performance experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing industry.• In-depth knowledge of plastic extrusion processes and equipment would be hugely beneficial.• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.• Proficient in resource management and budgeting.• A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
