We started out 15 years ago as a small powder coating business and have quickly evolved to become one of Australia's biggest steel distributors. Doogood Australia supply steel fencing solutions for residential, commercial, and civil sectors. Our range includes chain mesh, fencing, gates, associated hardware, and structural manufacturing. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Powder Coating Production Lead / Scheduling Manager to join our busy team based at our Head Office & Factory in Doveton.
Qualifications & experience
- Applicants must have full working rights in Australia to be considered.
- Experience supervising within an operations, warehousing, or logistics environment.
- High level of computer skills, capable of inspiring and guiding a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Profound understanding of production processes and proficiency in quality control.
- A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
- First aid and forklift license preferred but no mandatory.
- Reliable and punctual is a must.
- Effective communication skills for seamless interaction with all business levels and customers.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead and manage a production team.
- Build and sustain an effective team capable of producing exceptional standards in safety, quality, lead times and delivery in full on time.
- Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement efficient scheduling strategies to optimize production workflow and meet deadlines.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of production materials.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on production metrics to senior management in identifying and addressing production inefficiencies and issues
