The Role

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Assistant/Law Clerk/Paralegal to join our Family Law Team.  Your Team consists of a Senior Associate and 3 year PAE Lawyer and includes work on a range of matters including parenting arrangements, property settlements, court applications, mediations, negotiations and binding financial agreements. This is a full time role (4 days considered) with a WFH option for a day a week depending on experience.

This role is open to someone with a genuine interest in Family Law who feels like they would benefit from working within a Team with similar passion.

Key areas of responsibility, include:

• diary management and organising appointments.
• file management including opening and closing files as well as physical and electronic filing.
• digital dictation (voice recognition), filing, typing and drafting of some correspondence.
• month end billing.
• general administration duties.

Criteria

We are looking for someone with the following skillset:

• advanced MS Office Skills
• a keen attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality and accurate work in a timely manner
• the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
• experience with time recording helpful but not essential
• knowledge of legal terms and procedures are a bonus and law students are encouraged to apply

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with level of experience.
