Form of workBased in the Hawkesbury region, Gourmet Herbs Pty Ltd is a leader in the Horticultural Industry as a producer of hydroponic produce (herbs and edible flowers) for the Sydney Markets.
Due to its growth, Gourmet Herbs is now looking for a casual worker to pick and pack produce (predominately herbs and flowers).
Estimated hours of work per week are approximately 20 to 30 hours per week from Monday to Saturday. Whilst there is some flexibility, the Saturday shift is approximately 4 hours and is mandatory.
Duties include:
- packing of herbs and flowers,
- picking of herbs and flowers,
- loading and unloading produce,
- cleaning and maintenance,
- forklift driving,
- spraying, and
- other general support.
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate initiative, be mindful of deadlines, operate in a safe manner, be considerate to other team members and be reliable and committed to the business.
You will understand that that the industry and the position has seasonal busy periods and weather considerations, summer shifts start as early as 4am in winter shifts start at 7am.
Qualifications and Experience
- Forklift license
- ChemCert
- Training will be provided if no prior experience.
