The Role:
We have an exciting job opportunity for a reliable and experienced farmhand to join our client's team and assist the current farm manager in all aspects of this thriving operation. The ideal candidate should ideally have prior experience in a similar role and a passion for agriculture.
The farm is in the productive upper Southeast region of South Australia, less than an hour's drive to the coast and three hours from Adelaide. The property is well-resourced and spread across 6,900 hectares. It currently runs 8,000 well-bred Merino ewes and 200 heifers, with plans to build cattle numbers to 500 breeders.
The successful candidate will assist the farm manager with the property's daily operations, including but not limited to livestock husbandry, waters, fencing, yard and other infrastructure maintenance and pasture maintenance as directed. Your own working dogs and basic mechanical and welding skills are an advantage. You will work closely with the farm manager, other team members and contractors to ensure the smooth running of the operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about livestock looking to develop their skills and grow their career in agriculture.
