Job description
Our client requires up to 150 hardworking and reliable farm workers to harvest, pack, and sort vegetables and related crops in Koo Wee Rup and surrounding areas in Victoria. You must be available to start work from April 2024 onwards and be available for a minimum of 4-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day, for the duration of the season. Some weekend work may be offered. The positions involve varying early start times depending on crop availability and management requirements. Flexibility is a must as the crops’ growth and harvest is weather dependent and may be intermittent. The positions involve outdoor work in varying weather conditions from hot dry conditions to very cold, wet, and muddy conditions.
We need reliable and flexible workers who are physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties may include, but not limited to, harvesting, cleaning, trimming, weeding, and sorting fresh vegetables outdoors. The duties involve regular lifting, constant standing, walking, and bending to pick, pack and sort products.
You will have good communication skills and able to work well in small and large teams from various cultural backgrounds.
Wages are paid as per the Australian Horticultural Award 2020 hourly rate. Ability to adhere to company Quality Assurance and OH&S requirements is a must. The positions are offered through a Labour Hire agency on casual basis for the season only. Please do not attempt to contact the farm directly.
