APG Workforce are currently on the lookout for Farm Managers & Breeder PoultryFarm Managers for a popular Australian poultry brand based in Tamworth.

Experience in farm supervision, Breeder Poultry management is highly regarded. A great remuneration will be on offer for experience. 

The Role:

You must be able to effectively lead staff while ensuring biosecurity and WHS compliance is maintained. You will have a “hands on” approach and be able to take on the day to day operations of running a successful Poultry Farm including all aspects of production, animal welfare/husbandry, staff management, feed deliveries, shed cleanouts, shed set up and also identifying any maintenance issues as they arise.

• Basic computer skills
• Commitment to ensuring a safe work environment and active promotion of safe working practices on the job
• Self-motivation to work with no supervision
• Excellent attendance record
• Current driver’s license
• Experience in breeder management and poultry industry are necessary.

Essential skills:

• Previous poultry livestock management experience
• Ability to manage a small team – be able to communicate effectively with all team members
• Proactive time management skills – be able to priorities duties
• High level of computer literacy and above average level of numeracy skills
• Current drivers licence
• Ability to forward plan
• Attention to detail
• Safety focused – be able to ensure all WHS policies and procedures are followed
• Good mechanical skills
