Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, our Enterprise Architects are responsible for the architecture strategy and vision supporting our largest federal pursuits. Working closely with the business development and proposal teams, the Enterprise Architect ensures Dell Technologies provides a complete and compliant technical response for federal proposals. Undertaking thorough analysis of the requirements, the Enterprise Architect will ensure all areas of the solution are accounted for and work to identify appropriate Dell and Dell partner technical team resource needed to answer complex solution goals. The role also involves collaborating with customers to help understand their mission and business goals to ensure that Dell Technologies can provide the best technical solution to deliver the best outcome for the customer.

What you’ll achieve

You are an individual who can articulate a client's next-generation business need and facilitate proper alignment between the various Dell Technologies sales, technical and services teams. Simultaneously protecting current revenue streams and opening new revenue streams associated with the emerging technologies of digitized industries, you will guide the technical vision and response for complex solutions to help drive program business attainment. These solutions often leverage industry leading technology verticals like 5G, AI/ML, Zero Trust, HPC, Cloud to Edge solutions. You will be responsible for assessing and crafting a singular technical voice for responses that leverage Dell internal capabilities and those of its industry leading partners.

You will:

  • Drive technology enabled solution sales connected to Dell Technologies transformation themes
  • Lead multiple Dell Technologies business pursuits without direct line management control
  • Enable new client business, IT delivery, and IT consumption models using next-generation integrated solutions designed in a consultative manner
  • Develop a multi-year strategy with assigned clients
  • Own the technical voice for Dell proposals in pursuit of program business
  • Get to know your customer to ensure our proposal meets their goals
    • In our solutions, there might be a mix of engineering, UX design, product development, and professional services involved to deliver the solution
    • There may be infrastructure, application and operating model challenges the customer is looking to address
  • Lead and collaborate with cross functional teams to develop solution area responses, business cases, and steer product/solution roadmaps as well as engage with customers in sales support and other collaborative development projects.

Essential Requirements
  • Communication skills – you are an active listener, you use empathy in your interactions, have great negotiation and conflict resolution skills and self-awareness capabilities
  • Critical and design thinking skills - to get to a desired business outcome by using creative approaches to architectural challenges
  • An understanding and working experience with the Australian Federal Government or Department of Defence IT organizations and command structures
  • Working knowledge and understanding in the full technology stack with expertise in at least 3 of the following:
    • Cloud
    • Edge
    • Automation & Orchestration
    • Generative AI, AI, Machine Learning, Data Management
    • Security
    • Operating Models, DevOps / EdgeOps
  • NV1 security clearance as a minimum, NV2 clearance preferred

Desirable Requirements

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree & an MBA is a nice to have
  • Project or Program Management experience is a plus as you will work within a matrixed organization and must accomplish tasks often without direct ownership of teams and assets.
  • 12+ years relevant industry experience with 8+ years of IT domain experience as an architect, systems engineer, or consultant
  • TOGAF 9.2 Certification / Dell Certified Enterprise Architect Certification
