The opportunity
To provide administration support to the Community and Economic Development team.
In this role you will:
- Provide a variety of administrative and support services to the Corporate and Community Service team.
- Promote a professional and positive image of the Council and consistently meeting customer needs.
- Effectively and efficiently assist with management of Council’s Property & Grants portfolio.
- Support various functions, including customer service, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, administration, minute-taking and agenda preparation for department meetings.
- Assist with co-ordination and administration of Council owned or managed property including preparing leases, licences and land management agreements.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the Grants register.
Criteria
- Hold a Certificate III in relevant field (communications, administration, business management, property etc) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Hold a current and valid class "C" driver's licence.
- Advanced user of a range of software packages such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Word, Gmail, and Records Management systems such as Content Manager (TRIM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to prioritise work and make decisions independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders along with an ability to liaise with solicitors in relation to Council’s requirements in leasing, sales and other property related matters.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the capability requirements of this position as defined in the focus capability statement detailed in the position description.

The salary will be within the range of $1,165.40 to $1,286.40 per week plus standard allowances, depending on qualifications, experience and skills.
