About the role
Thiess Mount Arthur South, located just outside of Muswellbrook, have an exciting opportunity for you to expand your skills and grow with in a high performing team as a Field Maintenance Leading Hand - Fitter.
Working a lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5 12.5 hour days, nights and weekend work, reporting to the Field Maintenance Supervisor you will be part of a team that is committed to developing our people.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strong safety focus and high attention to detail, ensuring Field Maintenance activities comply with site safety processes.
- Lead a maintenance crew following directives of managers and supervisors.
- Coach and mentor crew members to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high levels of initiative.
- Ensure mobile plant equipment defects are completed within an acceptable timeframe.
- Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
- Source and requisition parts and / or equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure.
- Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
- You will also need to always possess a high regard and practice of health and safety
- Mining Supervisory training will be highly regarded
