Job Description:
The Field Officer has a practical, on-ground focus to deliver pest plant and animal control services on public and private lands within the Limestone Coast region. The role will operate and maintain machinery and equipment required for pest management services, provide timely assistance to clients and other employees and deliver a works program focussed on implementing the Limestone Coast Landscape Board’s (LC Landscape Board’s) Pest Plant and Animal Strategy.

Special Conditions:
Position is based at Mount Gambier.
A current minimum class C driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is essential.
Current class MR driver’s licence is desirable.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.
Will have the opportunity to participate in fire management or associated duties.
Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required.
Required to work alone in a field environment, including working in adverse weather conditions from time to time.
Required to hold or be willing to obtain a full pest management technician’s licence.
Required to wear a uniform in accordance with LC Landscape Board policy.
Required to participate in the LC Landscape Board’s Performance Development and Review Program.
Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, ongoing.
Remuneration: OPS2 $57,842 - $62,221 max p.a.
