Exciting opportunity for a motivated, hands-on apprentice to join Miele's Service Team, with the view to progress to a Service Technician role!

The Position
Miele is strongly committed to investing in our employees and providing opportunities for career growth. With this in mind we are currently looking for a Field Service Apprentice to join our Service division.
This will be a 4 year apprenticeship whereby we will provide you with:
- Extensive on the job training under the supervision of a qualified technicians
- Fully funded Certificate III in Appliance Servicing or a state equivalent course
- Attainment of Disconnect/Reconnect Electrical Licence following completion of the Certificate III
- Upon successful completion, an opportunity for ongoing employment within our Service Division as a Miele Field Service Technician
- Assist Miele Technicians as directed in a professional manner
- Carry out customer service repairs at customer premises under supervision
- Carry out customer service repairs in the workshop.
- Complete appliance conversions as necessary.
- Provide quotations to customers for appliance repairs, where appliances have been delivered to the Workshop.
- Conduct refurbishment / repair of returned product, in an efficient manner achieving KPI targets set
- Pre-commission of new or special products
- Stock control tasks for field and warehouse
- Complete accurate paperwork necessary for all workshop and field repairs
- Skillful in proper use of tools, equipment and gauges to ensure optimal use.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to repeatedly lift weights of 5-10kg
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to squat / crouch for extended periods of time
- Ability to push / pull weights in excess of 100kg
- Pre –apprenticeship courses preferable
- Completed at least Year 11 schooling
- A sound knowledge of domestic appliance parts and the service industry would
- be advantageous.
- Electrical trades experience required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, excellent time management skills.
