Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Mechanic (Heavy Diesel Fitter) to join our fast-growing national company. As a Field Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing on-hire heavy equipment on-site. This includes conducting hydraulic and electrical repairs, diagnosing faults and technical issues, as well as following company safety policies and procedures diligently. The role requires availability for travel to various sites, including overnight travel.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform servicing and repairs on-hire heavy equipment at customer sites
- Conduct hydraulic and electrical repairs as required
- Diagnose faults and technical issues of the equipment accurately
- Travel to sites including overnight and interstate travel
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Trade qualification as a mechanic is essential
- Current HR Licence
- Availability for overnight stays
- Background in Heavy Diesel equipment is preferred
- AC course is a plus
- Strong diagnostic skills with attention to detail
- Satisfactorily completed a pre-employment medical
- A valid driver’s licence
