LiftRite Hire & Sales are locally run and are an expanding company with a supportive management team on site. We are now part of the Manitou Group who is world reknown for their quality products. We are a leading dealer of materials handling and earthmoving equipment to the construction, mining and agricultural sectors. We supply and manintain Maniotu, Gehl, Kalmar and Kobelco equipment for a large customer base and our own hire fleet including forklifts from 1.5 to 42 ton, excavators, skid steers and Tele-handlers.
Role Title: Field Service Technician
Role Purpose
Is responsible to carry out site/workshop repairs and services to Customer and LiftRite equipment on site and/or the workshop
Role Dimensions
The role of Field Service Technician is to diagnose and correct fauls on equipment. This involves communicating with customers and working with the Service Coordinators, Field Service Supervisor and the Operations Manager. The role interfaces with a wide range of people throughout the business including, managers, accounts, Service Technicians and customers. A high level of organisation and strong communication skills are essential.
Organisation
This role reports to the Field Service Supervisor and works closely with the Operations Manager, Service Coordinators, technicians and customers, Sales, Hire and Parts Departments. It is an integral role in the Operational Team that coordinates between the Operational Team, customers, other departments and internal providers.
Position Responsibilities
Fault finding, repairs and services to Customer and LiftRite Industrial Equipment but no limited to:
Diesel and petrol engines
Diesel, petrol and LPG fuel systems
Steering systems
Transmissions – hydrostatic, power shift and manual Brake systems
Hydraulic valves and cylinders
Electrical starting, charging and accessories
Service /repair the Hire fleet to a high standard
Account for parts used on jobs by ensuring they are entered on service/repair reports
Ensure unused parts are credited back to stock at job completion
Complete repair and service reports to standards required
Document any items requiring attention while servicing equipment and report to the customer as required
Complete repair and services within reasonable timeframes
Repair and service the Hire fleet as directed
Process workshop service / repair documentation on a daily basis
Present yourself in a in a professional manner at all times
Be available to attend call outs, as required
Be available for country trips, as required
Ensure the security of the stock, tools and equipment of LiftRite
Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and safe manner, if allocated
Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, comply with requirements of the current health and safety legislation and report hazards
Work in compliance with established workplace policies and procedures
Advise non-compliance of procedures, rectify non-compliance and provide solutions to non-compliance
Maintain good housekeeping
