ABOUT THE CULTURE:
Pulford Air & Gas is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that priorities people in all aspects of our operations.
As a result of substantial growth and the requirement to cater to our valued customers across the region, we are in search of an experienced Full-time Field Services Technician. This position will be based out of our Notting Hill office and will involve servicing greater Melbourne and the surrounding region.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Field Service Technicianis primarily responsible for carrying out plant installations, routine servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosis and efficient repair of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical faults/works relevant to compressed air & nitrogen plant and equipment in the field.
This role requires:
- Installation, service and repair of gas generation & air filtration systems along with associated equipment in accordance with technical requirements and specifications.
- Commissioning and testing activities in compliance with both internal and third-party specifications such as legislative requirements, standards or industry codes.
- Assist with identifying capital equipment sales opportunities and quoting customers in a timely manner.
- Occasional overtime (including Saturdays) and regional travel when required

We are looking for an inquisitive, technically adept problem solver who thrives on hands-on work and upholds a high standard of both work quality and customer interaction. This dynamic role involves frequent outdoor work in remote locations, often independently. In return, you'll receive a competitive base salary and incentive program with additional benefits such as overtime and allowances. A company-owned vehicle will be provided for your work and commuting from home to work locations.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Demonstrated Field Service experience in a technical environment (ideally Air Compressor or HVAC industry)
- A technical mechanical or engineering background
- Outstanding communication skills, relationship management and rapport building skills
- Work well under pressure with the ability to work both independently (self-motivated) and in a team (collaborative)
- Customer-Centric in nature, with an innovative, forward-thinking and a positive can do mindset.
- Electrical disconnect / reconnect license (desirable)
- Highly organised, flexible in approach with good problem-solving skills to provide effective solutions for our customers.
- Must have a current VIC Driver's License
