Position Purpose
The Field Services Representative is to provide technical engineering expertise in the deployment of Control Centre communications and information systems.
Main Tasks
- Technical input to communications infrastructure design such as installation of racking, power & data cabling, installation of server & networking hardware.
- Production of installation and configuration documentation.
- Installation and integration of communications infrastructure such as networking, firewall and server components.
- Ongoing maintenance of communications infrastructure such as Frequentis Voice systems, networking, firewall & server components.
The above lists are not exhaustive, and the role may evolve to meet the overall objectives of the company.
Training
Specialist Frequentis system training will be provided for products related to the role from the Frequentis product portfolio.
Experience and Skills
- Experience deploying Cisco network switches
- Experience with deploying servers with Linux OS (desirable)
- Ability to travel to Amberley weekly for the first six months.
- Ability to travel domestically
- Security clearance
- Demonstrated experience installing racks, electrical and data cabling.
- Desirable-Demonstrated experience with deploying firewalls
- Desirable-Electrical license/Restricted electrical license
- Desirable-Registered Cabler
Qualifications
- Technical training in Electronics & Communications – Military technical experience also desirable but not essential
