We are seeking a licenced Field Services person to join our Property Management Team.  This position is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with some after hours work required by negotiation.  This position is an immediate start. Applicants will need to  complete their real estate certificate and registration with the Office of Fair Trading (QLD) within 3 months or less from employment commencement date.

Position Description

The role of a Field Services person is to assist our Property Management team to stay in the office by assisting with all out-of-office appointments as well as general administration and applications processing. In addition, this team takes care of routines, entries, vacates, and other property inspections as required. This team also helps with meetings and back filling staff absenteeism when required.

Traditionally thought of as assistants or juniors, this role is suitable for people who have experience in troubleshooting and customer service with an excellent phone manner, as well as attention to detail to complete reports and paperwork as required.  Clear and specific feedback is critical by all members of the team to ensure communication within the agency, clients and third parties is exceptional.

Career Progression 

Ideally the applicant will be ready to step into managing their own portfolio of clients and properties within 3 - 6 months of commencement on the provision the real estate course and registration has been completed and core competencies have been met.

Primary Duties

  • Complete physical Entry condition reports - this includes the written report, photos, uploaded into PM database, virtual tour of property. If the property is a new business property this would include an onboarding form which records the assets at the property and handover condition. PM to have final sign off.
  • Complete physical Exit/Vacate reports once field agent has sufficient experience - this includes the written report, photos of damage, upload into PM database, virtual tour of property. Note this will include some basic comparison back to original entry condition report. PM to have final sign off.
  • Complete applications processing and supporting the admin team.
  • Completing Routine inspections. This would involve attending the property completing the routine report and reporting the maintenance as required. Note, this is the physical report only, PM to review, update and send to owner.
  • Adhoc out of office appointments such as:
  1. Meeting valuers/clients/third parties at properties for essential inspections directly relatable to Property Management and sales services; 
  2. Assisting with the delivery of keys; 
  3. Reinspections on behalf of the PM team and 
  4. Checking maintenance completion including photos and reporting as required

Employee Requirements and Skills

Education Requirements:

  • Current QLD Real Estate Certificate registered with the OFT (or completion and registration within 3 months of commencement date)

  • Work in high pressure and fast paced environment
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a with wide range of clients 
  • Ability to work both in and out of the office on a variety of tasks as noted in ‘primary duties’
  • Ability to back fill other positions within the Property Management Division in this instance of staff absenteeism and other unforeseen circumstances requiring additional staff services
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and proactive attitude in assisting the team to complete all tasks as and when required by the due date and with a solutions-based, client centric focus
  • Willingness to complete professional and personal development as encouraged by Management
