ABB’s Electrification business are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to provide routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support opportunities. Our workshop is based in Darra, QLD, and this position involves extensive travelling (>50%), as you will be providing hands-on assistance at customer sites across QLD/NT. This role reports to the Field Service Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Performing service tasks like installation and commissioning of equipment, identifying technical problems, making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories.
- Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, appreciating their needs and providing specialist assistance and solutions.
- Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
- Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Identifying opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and method.
Your background
- Australian Electrical License is required.
- 4+ years of experience in Switchgear preferred.
- Strong customer-centric approach and negotiation skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office and Windows)
- Knowledge in Electrical fault finding, high level of mechanical aptitude and interpretation of electrical drawing preferred.
