About the role
The Engineer plays a critical role in the contribution to the sustainable lifecycle management of Water and Wastewater infrastructure assets. This includes catchment management, water sources, water treatment, distribution and reticulation systems, wastewater collection, treatment and recycling functions.
Southern Downs Regional Council has an exciting range of Water and Wastewater upgrade, renewals and operational projects planned over the next few years to ensure a reliable supply of Water and Wastewater services to Southern Downs communities.
With 2 positions available, this is an exciting opportunity for both graduates and experienced engineers with qualification and background in Water/Civil/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering to be part of team SDRC in delivering essential services. To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of operation and basic maintenance of water supply and Wastewater infrastructure including bores
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in engineering project/contract management
- Engineering qualification
- Project Engineer: RPEQ or ability to achieve registration within 12 months
Pay Level $2,711 - $3,656 per fortnight (Level 3-6) + superannuation.
Pay rate dependent on relevant skills and experience.
In accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.
Status Permanent Full-time
Hours of Work 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight or as negotiated
