Orora is expanding the capacity of its cans business, investing millions to increase capacity at our Revesby, NSW site through introducing a second manufacturing line. This is where you come in.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician (preferably into 3rd/4th Year of the program) to join our team at Revesby, Sydney. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work alongside experienced electricians to learn the trade and gain valuable hands-on experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment and industrial electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installing electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures according to project specifications.
- Learn to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs.
- Learn to safely use hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
- Carry out Root cause analysis as required.
- Suggest areas of improvement and be involved in improvement opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct customer service level is provided.
What We’re Looking For
- Enrolled or completed an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts and terminology
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Preferably good understanding of Mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, air systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and the environment.
- Working knowledge of ‘Lean Manufacturing’ principles and their application would be a plus
