Position Title:Finance and Data Officer (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a conscientious and organized individual to join our team as a Finance and Data Officer in our office in Esperance, WA. This part-time position can accommodate flexible working arrangements for a person driven to contribute to the success of our business. The Finance and Data Officer will play a pivotal role in managing financial tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and reporting. Additionally, this position involves collecting data, analyzing, and advising of performance improvement opportunities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Complete payroll functions.
- Liaise with the Accountant to ensure statutory reporting and payments are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate to create and manage budgets.
- Generate timely and insightful financial reports for management review.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and organize existing data within the business across various departments.
- Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to extract meaningful insights from the collected data.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish benchmarks.
- Conduct regular performance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement within financial and Data management functions.
- Implement efficient and effective solutions to streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall business performance.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate financial information and insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members from various departments to ensure seamless integration of financial and Data-related activities.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Formal training in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budgeting.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret and present data.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Work Schedule:
- This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule designed to accommodate the circumstances of a working parent.
