Our client is a leading European private equity firm which is looking to add a Finance Assistant to its London based finance function. In this role you will take ownership of budgeting and accounts preparation whilst there will also be additional exposure to fund and investment accounting. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a leading European private equity fund.
What the job involves
- Preparation of accurate ledgers in Microsoft Dynamics GP, including sales, purchase and project ledgers for review by the Finance Executive
- Preparation of bank reconciliations for review by the Finance Executive
- Prepare monthly supplier payment run for CFO approval, analysis of actual vs. budgeted expenditure
- Preparation of management accounts for the UK regulated entity
- Preparation of budgets and cash flows for review by the Finance Executive
- Support the investment accounting team to accurately record fund and co-investment transactions
- Assist with ad hoc information requests as required
- Experience within the financial services sector
- A pro-active approach to problem solving and working in a wider team
- Strong analytical, numerical, verbal and IT skills (including Excel and Outlook)
- Conscientious, professional and always willing to help
