About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering profitable and sustainable growth for services. You will work with business areas to challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and make recommendations for efficiency improvements in order to sustain growth.
This is a great opportunity to work closely with contract directors and managers across all business units to have help improve financial insights.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing guidance on contract/service performance including ROI, scenario planning, and KPI analysis
- Driving contract/service cost optimisation projects through profitability analysis and efficiency recommendations
- Developing customer relationships to support successful commercial and financial negotiations regarding variable revenue, rebids, and change notices
- Providing contract/service pricing, cash and margin optimisation recommendations, ensuring an acceptable balance of risk and return
- Supporting business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over and under delivery, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations
- Providing challenge and decision support for organic growth and new business, drawing upon the commercial team, as appropriate
About you
You are an innovative finance professional, with highly effective organisational skills. You are passionate, driven and demonstrate high integrity in everything you do.
Your ideal skills & experience
- Hold a professional qualification and professional body membership (CA, CPA or equivalent)
- Good experience working in a Finance role with a strong commercial focus
- Experience in successfully collaborating with business leaders in a complex business environment
- Experience of adding value in a commercially orientated bidding or contracting environment
- Ability to understand, interpret and convey the requirements of customer contracts and enterprise agreements
- Ability to highlight problems, offer innovative and practical solutions, and drive through execution
