As the Finance Business Partner for Group Functions Country Road Group, you will partner directly with the Senior and Executive Leadership teams across IT, HR, Group Finance etc. to provide financial guidance and commercial support in achieving their strategic targets and ROI expectations. Reporting through to the Head of Group Financial Planning, this strategic yet operational role will be responsible to manage end to end financial performance through effective Budget, Forecast, Reporting and Analysis. You will use your financial knowledge & insight to influence decision making and drive commercial outcomes while actively driving process improvement to deliver operational efficiencies. With exposure to strategic project opportunities across various Group Functions, this role will suit an emerging finance BP who is looking to develop their skills further with an industry leading retailer.
What does the role involve?
- Ownership of the planning process across Group Functions, incorporating the three-year-plan and detailed budget build
- Management of the monthly reporting and quarterly forecasting process ensuring accuracy of forecast position
- Provide financial leadership/guidance across forecasting / budgeting, input into business case development and Post Implementation Review and other ad-hoc analysis when required
- Support ITLT in maintaining IT strategic investment roadmap and IT Project Managers in tracking and reporting against project budget
- Support of IT financial administration
- Develop and provide mentorship to the Group Finance Analyst
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner or Senior Financial Accounting role
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Capability to drive business improvement and cost optimisation
- Experience with financial systems, preferably Oracle Financials and EPM or equivalent reporting/forecasting tool
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data in ways that are effective and readily understood
- Proven interpersonal, influence and relationship management skills
- Strong Business acumen with an interest/experience in the retail industry highly desirable
