This is a hybrid role that leads the Payroll team whilst the organisation is in the process of implementing a new fully integrated payroll system.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Involvement in the full payroll process (450 FTE) to ensure a high level of accuracy and reliability.
- Complete general ledger and payroll reconciliations.
- Provide advice and interpretation of payroll awards and legislation.
- Undertake complex payroll calculations.
- Take charge of moderately complex payroll and finance-related projects.
- Financial modelling, analysis, and insights to develop business cases and reports.
- Identify and evaluate various financial options while offering guidance on the interpretation of financial results.
- Assess financial options and their commercial impacts, influencing strategic outcomes.
- Assist in developing the Annual Budget, Long Term Financial Plan.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements in reporting processes, system enhancements and developments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with CA/CPA qualifications (desirable).
- Ability to prioritise, direct and deliver accurate and timely activities for stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience in leading a payroll function.
