About the Role:
The purpose of the position is to provide financial business partnering support to the BU, and is responsible for leading month end, half year and year end reporting activities. On a day-to-day basis this will include:
- Deliver ad-hoc insights and analysis to support financial recommendations
- Develop and deliver further automated data analysis solutions and reports
- Assist in developing and implementing financial business process improvements
- Work collaboratively with other Finance teams and business stakeholders to drive financial performance and deliver insights by understanding costs and value drivers
- Preparation and presentation of management reports including analysis & commentary on monthly financial performance against budget and forecast for both internal and Joint Venture (JV) stakeholders
- Support the business in contract plan / strategies, financial due diligence and lease assessment reviews
- Engagement with non-operator auditors and answering various questions throughout the non-op audit program which runs throughout the year
- Coordinate the annual expenditure budgeting and forecasting process and support the preparation of and approval from internal and JV stakeholders
- Assist in the Long-Term Cost Forecast as required
- Provide accounting guidance to the business including compliance with relevant accounting standards and expenditure approval process
- Support the business with ad hoc financial requests and queries
Skills & Experience:
We are seeking a degree qualified professional (accounting, finance or similar) who holds CA/CPA status.
A high level of attention to detail is needed, along with an ability to work towards time-driven deadlines.
As this role is business facing, up to and including senior leaders and executives, you'll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a record of building high-trust relationships, based on a track record of delivering great outcomes.
