Lollies Management Pty Ltd t/a Forest Lake Lodge invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals with outstanding experience to undertake the role of an independent member of its established Finance Committee.
Forest Lake Lodge is a stand-alone residential aged care home for 137 vulnerable and diverse residents with a significant property portfolio in Brisbane. We are a privately owned, for-purpose enterprise tasked with putting resident needs at the core of our business while meeting financial and legislative imperatives.
The Finance Committee is one of 4 that advises the Board on strategic and other matters. Thus we have created a new role and are looking for a CPA-qualified individual with an understanding of how finance in aged care works.
The Committee is comprised of up to six members including:
a. at least 3 current Board Directors
b. the General Manager and Finance Manager
c. 1 Independent member
The Finance Committee meets about 6 times per year, usually online, so you can dial in from anywhere. There will also be opportunities to meet in person in Brisbane (if you choose to join us) and we will reimburse travel expenditure.
To ensure that our skill set is suitably diverse and appropriate, we intend to attract a Certified Practising Accountant, ideally with a background in residential aged care. You do not need to have necessarily worked in aged care, however, it is expected that you will have an understanding of where the money comes from, requirements from a governing body perspective and the key financial levers that drive performance.
