Due to a sustained period of growth, they are now seeking a capable and technical Finance Manager to join their team for an initial contract of 3 Months. There will be opportunities to extend and even become a permanent employee for the right candidate.
Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting function, including but not limited to:
- Accounts receivable: Coordinating with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to manage Salesforce sales contract reporting, generate customer invoices, and ensure timely collections.
- Accounts Payable: Supervising external Bookkeepers to handle accounts payable and payruns, including staff reimbursement processes.
- Payroll: Supporting HR with payroll activities, reviewing payroll, and coordinating statutory payroll filings.
- Banking and Cashflow: Managing regular cashflow reporting and forecasting, overseeing multi-currency accounts.
- Reporting: Preparing monthly management accounts, consolidation reporting, reconciliations, and financial performance analysis.
- Compliance: Managing insurance renewals, liaising with external accountants for annual company accounts and tax filings.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce or equivalent experience.
- Chartered Accountant qualifications or similar postgraduate certification.
- Previous experience in Big 4 / Mid-Tier accounting firm and/or SaaS business preferred.
- Understanding of Australian statutory obligations such as ATO and BAS filings, payroll tax, insurances, etc.
- Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial reporting, modelling, and analysis.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, experience with Google Sheets.
- Experience working with Xero, preferably Salesforce experience.
- Impeccable attention to detail and proactive communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid team environment, being a self-starter and collaborative.
