Finance Manager - 3 To 6 Month Contract

Rombola Family Farms encompasses over 4,000 hectares of intensive irrigated horticultural production at Griffith (NSW), Bundaberg (QLD) and Mataranka (NT). Agricultural enterprises include Seedless Watermelon, Rockmelons, Broccoli, Pumpkin, Almonds and Winegrapes. Operations include primary production, processing, value adding and marketing.  

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join our team in Griffith, NSW. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a dedicated team to achieve strategic and operational priorities and business objectives across all our farms. In this role, you will demonstrate strong financial leadership, initiative, and an innovative, commercially knowledgeable approach to the financial dealings of the organization. 

This is a contract role for 3-6 months, to oversee the day-to-day finance function operation. This role will not suit remote work.

Key accountabilities include:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team inclusive of AP, AR, Finance and Purchasing functions.
• Oversee and supervise the month end process. 
• Management of staff members.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Degree in Accounting with CA or CPA membership (or similar).
• Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated accounting and leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other business software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the passion to build and maintain long-standing business relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to build, motivate and lead a high-performing team.
• Ability to work in a fast and high-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Exceptional business acumen and a practical, commercial mindset.
• Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations experience will be an advantage.
