Overview: Join our team as a Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations within our insurance firm. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing accounts payable, monthly reporting, financial compliance, transactions, and overall finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor a team of Intermediate Accountants.
- Oversee accounts payable and bank reconciliation processes.
- Manage monthly close processes and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Act as the key contact for statutory audits.
- Manage corporate card facilities and expense management.
- Collaborate with global teams on finance projects.
- Support the Finance Reporting Manager in various initiatives.
- Prepare annual accounts for audit and statutory reporting.
- Communicate organizational goals and expectations to team members.
- Monitor productivity and provide feedback and coaching.
- Manage performance, conduct regular reviews, and support career development.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large data sets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Understanding of financial principles.
- Tertiary degree in relevant field.
- CPA or CA qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial roles, post-qualification.
- Experience managing teams.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
