The Job:
We are on the hunt for a Finance Manager across HOYTS Exhibition. This is a Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Cover for 12 months starting May 2024. The Finance Manager will partner with the CEO, CFO and Senior Executive Team to oversee the business operations, internal controls, and cash management for Exhibition and to assist in the delivery of measurable KPIs and other outcomes including cost management. As team leader, this role will drive the Exhibition finance team in delivering financial services excellence to stakeholders at all levels within the company and to maintain strong relationships with all internal and external clients. This role is in our fantastic office in George St, Sydney and reports to the CFO. Other key responsibilities include:
- Oversee accurate recording, retention and review of daily transactions
- Appropriate management and oversight of the finance team, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Identify and mitigate controllable risks within the business
- Delivery of all reporting P&L and cash flow requirements whether daily, weekly and/or monthly and provide insightful analysis to accompany reporting to executive team
- Oversee balance sheet and cash flow management including reconciliation review. Work with Finance Director – Corporate to manage Group cash position and profitability to ensure adherence to current and future covenant requirements. Annual liaison with auditors.
- Work with department heads and exec team to prepare annual budgets and targets
- Assist in any refinancing or forecasting activities
- Coach and develop skills and technical ability for the broader Finance Team
- Oversight of business reporting and business systems for Exhibition
Who we are looking for:
It goes without saying you’ll be a top performer with a CA / CPA qualification. You will be a proven finance executive working in a business of medium to large scale and have excellent business partnering skills, you can manage a variety of stakeholders cross functionally. Further, you will have the ability to present business analysis effectively, demonstrating an ability to exercise strong financial and commercial judgement across key business issues. We’re also looking for someone with:
- Experience in leading a finance team
- Experience in external reporting and compliance
- Commercial acumen
- Strong excel and business systems
- Relationship builder
- Strong team building skills
