Duties include the below, but are not limited to:
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Facilitation of the business planning, budgeting and forecasting for investment pipeline, including business development costs associated with executing the Future Energy roadmap.
- Assist and provide backup for the broader annual budgeting and forecasting process to deliver budget outcomes for presentation to the Board and Senior Management.
Investment analysis & governance:
- Assist with implementation of CS Energy’s Investment Governance Framework.
- Ensure appropriate governance and compliance with the Investment Framework and related financial delegations.
- Maintenance and governance of the Company assumption book.
- Analysis and financial input to new investment decisions.
- Review business cases for significant investments including peer review of associated valuation models.
- Perform post investment reviews and assist in maintaining benefit realisation reporting for large business investments.
- Support the broader Finance team with financial modelling requirements including asset valuations, rehabilitation assessments etc.
- Ongoing performance reporting of new investments including providing insight into operational performance through in-depth analyses of financial reports.
Additionally, the role is accountable for on-boarding of new Future Energy assets which includes:
- Support on-boarding of new assets and Future Energy contracts including PPAs, EPCs, and Joint Ventures.
- Provision of taxation and accounting advice related to the development and integration of Future Energy division investment.
- Assist with preparing assets registers for new assets to be loaded into SAP.
- Ensuring the integration of relevant finance requirements for new business projects.
- Provision of Finance support to manage CS Energy’s financial exposures related to the execution of major projects (FX, commodity etc)

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline.
- CA/CPA qualifications or relevant recognised financial post graduate qualification.
- Advisory, consulting or similar experience demonstrating ability to solve problems, deal with ambiguity and interact with internal and external stakeholders autonomously (Big 4 firm experience advantageous).
- Experience in a similar role focusing on Investment Governance and Financial Planning and Business Partnering.
- Proven ability to provide inputs to Board papers and prepare position papers.
- Ability to present financial data to key stakeholders
- Demonstrated superior analytical and conceptual skills.
- Proven experience in handling multiple responsibilities and meeting strict deadlines.
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated self-starter with flexible and collaborative work style.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and familiar with accounting operations.
- Experience in data analysis.
- Intermediate / advanced MS Excel
- Energy industry experience is highly desirable
- Problem solving and ability to balance multiple tasks based on prioritisation skills.
- Strong financial accounting and analytical skills.
- Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- This role may require travel to CS energy sites from time-to-time. Flexible working hours to meet business requirements.
