Visna T Management Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company offering labour hire services for many agricultural businesses in Victoria and New South Wales to meet their seasonal and long-term labour needs. As a multi-million dollar company, we currently employs more than 70 employees across Victoria and New South Wales.
Visna T Management Pty Ltd is in the process of expanding its business activities towards cherry farming with a planned purchase of a large cherry farm in Victoria in late 2024. As our company is experiencing extraordinary growth, we need to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to be responsible for allocating financial resources, budget planning across the marketing, sales, HR, production and logistics departments and providing financial advice to the executive to make the best business decisions for the company in the next phase of growth.
The tasks of the Finance Manager would include, but not limited to:
- Developing, executing, overseeing, assessing and appraising budgetary and accounting strategies, polices and plans in consultation with executive team and the marketing, sales, HR, production and logistics departments.
- Analysing financial data and interpreting its impact on business operations and financial requirements
- Directing the preparation of financial reports that summarise and forecast the organisation’s financial position such as income statements, balance sheets and analyses of future earnings and income
- Evaluating capital financing proposals and the financial standing of operational initiatives
- Reviewing and approving all filings with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
- Overseeing the creation, execution and supervision of accounting systems
- Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and to ensure it remains effective and operational at all times
- Coordinating and preparing annual budgets including operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Advising on investment strategies, sources of funds and the distribution of earnings
- Providing long term profit projections, budgeting and financial reporting
- Ensuring compliance with all financial legislation and standards
Required Skills and Experience Required:
- Hold a relevant tertiary financial and/or accounting qualifications
- Be able to prove at least 3 years of experience managing finance for a company or a large department in a company
- Have excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Have experience using relevant accounting software such as Xero or be willing to learn
- Be self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail
- Be willing to travel to metro and regional Victoria and New South Wales
- Be presentable, punctual, professional
Salary and Benefits
- Receive a market competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 plus superannuation per year.
