The Role
Step up into a newly created Senior Finance Manager/Finance Manager role and be the finance subject matter expert for BGIS and the client. The role is within growth sector, Government Social Housing. The role has a solid line reporting relationship to the General Manager of Finance and Commercial Client Services, and a dotted line reporting relationship to the client Account Director.
Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities include:
- Full financial end to end responsibilities on the client account
- Effective management of all finance deliverables
- Effective management of the billing, payment and variation process
- Preparation and maintenance of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Acting as the key contact for all the clients financial matters
- Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
- Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS services business systems
- Management of finance staff
- Driving innovation & effeciencies
- WHS&E policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Accounting/Finance Management
- Ability to manage and develop staff
- Proven experience in working in a matrix stakeholder management environment
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
- Sound knowledge and experience with relevant legislation and policies standards and agreements
- A high level of demonstrated proficiency in Excel (advanced preferred), Word, and Power BI
- Demonstrated involvement in system integration/implementation
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, or finance
- CA or CPA qualified
- At least 5 years' experience in management of financial, management accounting, reporting and finance related staff and process.
