What you'll do:
The Formats & OperationsFinance Manager is driven by a commercial mindset and a natural curiosity, actively seeking out and driving business opportunities within a rapidly expanding business unit. They offer strategic and commercial advice to leadership teams, develop strong assumptions for business cases, and present clear plans to improve financial targets. With expertise in P&L management, they effectively navigate risks and opportunities.
This role supports the Head of Finance and GMs of New Formats and Customer Operations in overseeing the financial and commercial management processes of new and existing stores. Key responsibilities include P&L management, strategic planning, and financial modeling for new store ventures, utilising analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Key accountabilities, include:
- Commercial Business Partnering
- Reporting, budgeting & corporate planning
- Day-to-day financial management
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 5 years' business partnering experience, ideally in FMCG, Retail, or Pharmaceuticals.
- Strong commercial focus, distilling complex data into actionable reports for senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complexity and foster effective partnerships across functions.
- Comfortable in lean environments with broad responsibilities.
- Extensive experience in management accounting, performance management, reporting, and budgeting.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling with large datasets.
- Expertise in project financial evaluation, formal business case preparation, and ERP/BI tools such as SAP, BPC, and PowerBI.
