AddressAndrew Peace Wines is a large and growing family owned winery and agriculture business with a focus on exports. We are looking for a capable person to fill an ongoing, full-time position in our Finance Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial accounting function of the business.
- Drive refinement of business processes / practices wherever possible
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records,including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by analysing financial data and trends, and providing insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends,variances, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
- Provide direction to accounts team (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll & General Admin) and work to build the abilities and efficiency of the team.
- Conducting month end and year end close processes.
- Oversee credit control processes, including new customer applications, maintenance of PPSR registrations etc
- Adhoc support to division team leaders.
Position Requires:
- Proven experience in Accounting or Financial roles.
- Current membership in a related professional accounting body highly regarded. (eg. CPA/CA)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Arrangements:
- Based out of Bendigo
- Travel as required to the Winery located in Piangil
- Flexible working arrangements are available
