The role
Applications are currently invited from suitably experiencedFinance Managers to join our team in this varied leadershiprole.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Finance Manager isaccountable for ensuring the smooth running of the Finance team,assisting with the department’s daily operations acrosscreditors, debtors, payroll, PAYG, BAS, Superannuation andWorkCover. The Finance Manager is also responsible for a range ofwider finance related tasks such as statutory reporting, budgeting,forecasting, and cash flow management.
This position is an ideal role for someone who is seeking totake their career to the next level whilst also demonstrating:
- Experience formulating budgets, forecasts and performance/analytical reports.
- Experience managing a small team and a commitment to achieving team goals through being ‘hands on’ as required.
- An understanding of GST and ideally, how it relates to Schools.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills to support interaction with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple and urgent priorities and meet deadlines.
- Well developed analytical and problem solviung skills.
- CA / CPA qualified with practical, commercial experience.
- Experience utilising Synergetic and/or Alii advantageous.
A current Working with Children Check is essential for thisposition. Should you not have a current check, you would beexpected to apply for one if you were successful in securing theposition.
Note: the role has 4 weeks annual leave and is thereforerequired to work during the majority of the school holidays. Thereis a degree of flexibility in negotiating additionalleave.
