An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Group to support a variety of property leasing activities, which owns a portfolio of a hotel, shopping centre, commercial and residential properties across Perth.
About the role
The role is within a small team based in the Perth city, responsible to manage all accounting, tax and finance functions & help improving the performance of the Group.
Major responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver annual budget, forecasts and outgoings audit as well as monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary.
- Perform various financial analysis, monitor performance of business and provide insights to management.
- Independently handle full set of accounts and manage day to day accounting, finance and payroll operations.
- Handle all tax related matters including preparation of group GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Land Tax, PAYG, withholding tax and other tax returns for individual and companies.
- Coordinate and maintain relationship with auditors, tax accountants, real estate agents and other external stakeholders.
- Participate in ad hoc assignments including handling insurance renewals, reviewing various contracts and assisting the CEO with investment appraisal and analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of company best practice, process improvements, and internal control processes.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable strong sense of business acumen.
- Degree in Accountancy, or Business-related field with CPA or CA qualification.
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience in the accounting field, including a minimum of 2 years’ experience at managerial level.
- Well-versed in computer applications such as MS Office Excel, Word and Outlook is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, analytical with attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Knowledge in hotel operations and property management is an advantage.
- Proactive, mature, well-organized, and able to work autonomously or collaboratively with strong team spirit to meet tight deadlines.
