Finance Manager

Approach are seeking a Finance Manager for a leading Canberra organisation. Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, the organisation continues to grow and is looking to increase it's internal finance capabilities. 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the internal finance function of the organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the group Finance Manager, assist in driving financial performance and contribute to broader finance strategy. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage cash flow, financing arrangements, and capital allocation for development projects.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management
• Strong understanding of financial principles, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
• Excellent communication skills
• Strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
